From the Album “A Sufi And A Killer”
You should get this album, it’s worth it.
Full of B-Music samples, rusty and heavilly treated voices,
hippy soulful pirats, echos from the past and present bugs.
It’s not just a soft retarded hippy crying shit, it’s how to shout
the blues in a smooth way.
A man who created an album alone
in his basement with a guitar, a Moog Sonic Six Synth,
a Teac four track and some TV & Radio extracts.
The LP was reissued in 2006 on CD.
DANGERDOOM – SOFA KING (DANGER MOUSE Remix) (2006)
Just a crazy remix.
I didn’t post it on purpose after Don harper
(sample of the Sofa King original version).
I think the concept of putting the sampled version and the original
is boring, maybe interesting for some of you but is a detective way to
love music.
I like the feeling of finding samples but it meens also that it’s too late to use them.
Sometimes it’s well done and sometimes it’s too easy, you don’t have to
know the original track to feel that.
Leave some secret and magic to the art.
When Library music is at his best, you get things like that.
No wrong bridge or little cheesy moment.
When I see this name on a record cover,
i know there gonna be something for me.
DILLA used that one, and he did good cause
this song contains a bunch of crazy gimmicks and loops.
“We’re the worst band in the world and we don’t give a ….”
